We have had discussions about backup here in the past, and I just 
wanted to post my recent backup experiences.  I installed bacula on our 
server, and I am using it to backup up several machines and directories 
to a tape changer.  I am very happy with it.  A bit of a learning 
curve, but well worth it.  It is working much better for me than tar 
ever did.  And it is free.
