1) The linux userbase is getting more and more monocultural, companies
running linux, new users running linx all tend to use the same MUA:
kmail and evolution or a webmail solution.

2) local exploits are indeed not unheard of, and not-applying
available patches is one of the problems the windows world is
suffering from, so when those people migrate to linux they'll take
their unsafe attitudes with them :)

however, it's still a lot easier(and will probably remain a lot
easier, as everybody can fix exploits) to protect a linux pc then to
protect a windows pc :)
