Hm... That'd be pretty useful if I were implementing a whole system, 
but it's still in the "research" phase rather than the "product" phase, 
so I'm trying to cut out as much as possible while still giving a fair 
comparison.  I have to pull out some other systems and install them 
before I know where the best place to draw the line is, though.  
Anything saves me writing handlers and making a proper daemon is 
probably good. :)

I'm not too sure they'd apply to much other than what I'm doing once 
I've cut filters down to small bits, but I'll see what I've got when 
I'm done.  Descriptions of how to do it will wind up being in my 
research notes (that hopefully'll eventually go in papers) so I don't 
see any good reason to keep the scripts themselves secret.
