I haven't yet upgraded either, but I'm seriously considering it for my
desktop box.  I had to upgrade to the 2.6 on my Gentoo iBook, and it's
quite snappy.  I didn't have any problems once I figured out what I was
supposed to be doing (only 1 trial kernel compile).

I do have to research how my nVidia driver will play with it. :-/

You might try looking at the Fedora users mailing list and see what
people are saying about it.  I find that's a good way to see what's
going on with something I'm thinking about.  Let the bleeding-edge
adopters pave the way!

Once I decide to take the plunge I'll post results here.
