Zaurus SL-5500 (can be bought on e-bay reasonably)

You need a CF card, I have one I'd be willing to part with actually...

With the Zaurus, you have a couple choices. With the Sharp ROM, you'll need
to install a terminal and ssh. If you flash to OpenZaurus both the terminal
and ssh are already installed.

No....and wifi really drains your battery power also...

The Zaurus comes with a thumb keyboard, but you can also use a wireless
keyboard or there is one of those flex ones for it.

the 5500 comes with 64mb ram and a 16mb flash area....by default the ram is
split to 32 storage and 32 ram

the 5500 comes with a 200Mhz processor

When doing research you probably won't hear a lot about the 5500 because there
are newer 5600's and 6000's as well as some released only in Japan which have
a laptop form factor.........
However, I'd strongly suggest the 5500 as it is priced right for your needs
and you're not worried about the "power" factor.

The Zaurus has a strong user group at
