[Techtalk] reading .gz files

Is there another way to read .gz help files, besides using zless? for example, 
the documentation for LILO:

$ ls
INCOMPAT.gz    README.common.problems  changelog.Debian.gz  copyright
Manual.txt.gz  README.disk             changelog.gz         examples

It's a bit of a pain to run zless for every one- is there some kind of reader 
that's faster and easier to use?
