What do you mean by html editing? You can compile in support to display html
emails, but as far as I'm aware, you can't compose html emails in the
wysiwyg manner, there is of course nothing stopping you from writing raw
html.
I think the thing to watch here is that there are two email clients -
Sylpheed and Sylpheed-Claws. Sylpheed is the "original" sylpheed, whereas
claws is a fork off the original. Though claws stuff does frequently get
synched back to the main Sylpheed branch, the claws version is more
"advanced" as far as feature set is concerned.
