[Techtalk] ADSL modems

I'm shopping around for an ADSL modem.  Since I have a home network,
I'm thinking of getting a router too (which would hopefully solve all
my networking problems I've been pestering linuxchix about :) ).
Can anyone tell me: would it be better to buy a router-modem, or to
buy them separately?
