In addition to the other advice you've gotten ... if the W2k partition turns out to be NTFS, don't try writing to it. Writing to NTFS isn't quite there yet and could potentially damage your file system. Reading from NTFS should be fine. Of course, it could just as likely be FAT32, which would be fine in either case.
