I should have mentioned that I tried folder-hook and it didn't work. mutt seems to run folder-hook only for actual mail folders (ie. mboxes) that contain messages, not for directories that contain mail folders and other stuff. -- laurel at sdf.lonestar.org http://dreadnought.gorgorg.org
