Thanks to everyone for your help. The temporary solution i came up for
this was.
egrep 'From:|Subject:' /var/mail/jsd | sed 's/From:/<p>From:/'
| sed 's/Subject$
date | cat >/var/www/htdocs/mailpopup/date.txt
I will experiment with some of the other suggestions. I love Linux and
I guess UNIX. There are so many ways of solving problems.
