[Techtalk] Book recommendations

Heya folks --

I am compiling a list of good books for getting
started with Linux for the Linuxchix website.  I've
browsed through the archives to get some of what has
already suggested here, but would love to hear
any recommendations that y'all have.

I am also trying to compile a good list of linux
resources for kids.  Again, I'd love to hear 
recommendations.

Private e-mail would probably be best so that 
we don't have to have the same discussion again. :)
