You may want to consider calling this document an "open letter,"
defined by Merriam-Webster as "a published letter of protest or
appeal usually addressed to an individual but intended for the
general public."  That might satisfy the desire to address dual
audiences -- the deeply clueless male, on one hand, and anyone who's
interested in the subject of encouraging women in Linux, on the
other.
