[Techtalk] configure deb's vga16fb framebuffer

Thanks for you reply.

Unfortunately vga=ask does not pick up framebuffer modes offered by the
vga16fb module. It only works with the vesafb module.

Using the vga=ask parameter with the framebuffer device I'm using only returns
vga modes (not fb modes).

The vga16fb device is configurable through the append=video= paramter (not the
vga= ) but it seems noone has a clue as to the form that the arguments need to
take :)

I think a kernel recompile to include the more popular vesafb device is in
order.
