I see a lot of votes for Eudora as a virus-free mail client, but I'd
also like to suggest Pegasus http://www.pmail.com.  It's a wonderfully
flexible program.

As far as a Windows-looking Linux distro, check out elx Linux
http://elxlinux.com/1024/index.php.  I haven't used it but it looks
intriguing as a way to get users migrated over but maintain the look &
feel of Windows (minus the crashes!).
