[Techtalk] addressbook/calendar on Linux server + Win on desktop + PDA

I'm hoping this isn't too OT, tho I'm not yet sure exactly how broad are
the parameters on this list. :)

We are about to install a new Linux server in a client's office and
planned to put in phpgroupware for addressbook and calendar, as we've been
running this awhile and it seems to be pretty good (and those two apps are
pretty stable). Today the client tells me he wants to get a PDA and sync
it with info on the server. Suddenly I'm stumped. I'm not really into
PDAs myself so I just haven't paid much attention to what's happening in
that arena, and this is the first client to bring the subject up.

phpgroupware will import/export addressbook in palm format, but the
calendar doesn't do anything, and I'm not really sure how the
import/export works on the palm side (whether it's something the client
can easily do himself). I hit freshmeat and sourceforge and found a dozen
projects still in alpha and pre-alpha, so not useful right now. I hit
linuxmall.com and linuxberg.com hoping to find something commercial, but
didn't. Most Slashdot articles I've read talk about PDAs running Linux,
which isn't really the issue for me now.

Do any of you know of some software to recommend? I'm a Linux crusader,
putting Linux servers in every client's office, and this is the first time
I've not known the Linux software I need to meet a client's needs. :(
