www.gimp-savvy.com is pretty much the best you can get right now.  the
internal help is pretty good, but i don't know if they ever released the
pdf stuff and it isn't finished.  gum is outdated as it is based on 1.0
not 1.2.  gimp-savvy is based on 1.1 which became 1.2 so is current.
plus it is just damn good.

you are playing with 1.2 versions, right?
