There was a problem w/ the CUPS rpms last week, but I understand it was
fixed ; sometime this week.  You might try to uninstall the patch , to
get back to teh origional  driver , OR download via YOU the latest fix
for it ... OR switch to teh BSD mode until it is fixed and you hear
satisfactory reports.

It is my understanding that the CUPS "fix last week actually broke a
lot of working print setups <sigh>

( If you are using the Suse distro you might want to have someone
monitor that list as often "trouble spots" show up there before  they
get  reported elsewhere.
