[Techtalk] Installing a printer

I've had pretty bad experience with Linux and printer installations, and
here I go again. I've got Red Hat 7.3 and KDE, plus a printer on a USB. I
used the KDE printer configuration tool and it detected the printer
(including its brand name, so I know it got that part right). But when I
try to print, nothing happens. The "lpq" command lists the print job as
already done.
Any ideas?
