okay... sad but true.... im posting a Nethack question...
yes, im totally addicted to this game ;-)

spellbooks: do the levels with spellbooks have any correspondence with 
your Experience level? as in, if you read them later on, do you have 
more chance of success with the spell? or is it just a thing with the 
spellbook itself, some of them are level 1 and will fail, some of them 
are better spellbooks?
