All,
Apologies for cross posting but both lists should know about this excellent
resource I just found.
If you are interested in Linux security and want to know more, then the
following is an excellent book - I just spent the weekend going through it.
Securing and Optimizing Linux : Red Hat Edition v1.3
The pdf can be downloaded here :
http://www.openna.com/products/books/securing-optimizing-linux/solrhe.htm
The authors don't just tell you what to turn off or what to type but
explain why this is done. It has also helped me understand a bit more about
the Kernel because they give an in depth explanation about compiling a
custom Kernel.
Regards,
Matt
