This is sort of a followup question to all
that then (thanks for responses so far, btw)...

What is the difference, performance-wise,
between a managed and unmanaged switch?

I am looking at two 3com switches that
appear to be identical, except for one is stackable,
manageable (SNMP & RMON), and $600 higher-priced...
