Well ... I switched the 3Com in my den PC with one of the Netcraps
in this machine and it went from a maximum of maybe 400KB/s to
something much closer to 12MB/s.  So I think it was the driver,
which is what someone else suggested a while back.

Live and learn.  Mostly I learned never buy another Netgear NIC ...
