yeah, i discovered this much easier notation somewhere along the way :)

i did this ... however, if and when i ping the IP that i added to the arp
cache on the machine to act as a proxy arp (how's that for a tongue
twister), i can see the arp requests going out .. but no arp replies come
back ... can't figure out why .. but thanx :)
