Success... I managed to get my Slackware 8.0 Workstation from 2.2.19 to 2.4.12. I surpsised myself. I find the system considerably faster, but that might be cognitive dissonance. :) Thanks to all for your help. Next challenge...Getting my Slack 7 server up to kernel 2.4.... Jenn jsd at jenn.ca
