Hey Chix,

I'm trying to get photos from a Lexar Jumpshot flashcard to my RedHat 7.2
box. So far I have installed the latest stable kernal available from
RedHat (2.4.9), which includes drivers for this (usb) device. When I run
mount, I see

usbdevfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)

and the devices file reveals

[root at trinity root]# cat /proc/bus/usb/devices

Which seems to me to indicate that the cardreader is recognized. The green
light on the reader itself is also illuminated when I put a card in.

This reader functions properly under Win2k when I have had to use it at
work, so I am confident that the device itself is okay.

Thing is, I am not able to find the photos. They do not appear in the
mounted directory when I ls, and gphoto (which admittedly is only supposed
to work with certain cameras) can't find them either.

I have grep'ed through google til my eyes are sore. If anyone is able to
read photos from a usb device under linux, I would appreciate any tips you
could offer.

Thanks,

Raven
