Thanks. :-)

true true, but you should see the arrogance of some of those people. I
think they did it more,
because I aswered questions without having proved myself worthy yet. I
have no idea realy how it
happened. I didn't mean to be arrogant at all. Somewhere I have the
feeling they did it, because
I am a girl...which is how I came across this group. I find that a lot
of males in the comp
business don't appreciate my knowledge because I am a girl. I could be
imagining things, though.

I have an odd sense of humor. I play at egotism a little bit (my name's
Elizabeth...Queen...you know), but
I don't mean it. I think that's where it all started.

So, for you and anyone else reading. If I'm being arrogant or
egotistical it's either a) a joke or b)
I need a smack. :-)

er...oops. Resolve was a bad word. I can't ping the thing. It worked
the day it was configured and the next,
but then it stopped. I purposefully didn't give the pl the root
password, so he couldn't touch the configuration.
Of course, things brings us back to that one thread with the pretty
physics lady. If one has access to
the hardware itself one can break it.

Yes. After the server is configured and the site programming complete
all access to the server (except me and
one or two other trusted people) will be through the web. I realy don't
want the cgi scripts touching /etc/passwd.
I would like to use a mail server that uses an alternate user
database/file.

Both. My mail client will be through the web site (Perl CGI), also, I
would like them to be able to use Netscape
Messenger or Outlook. Actaully, it's not me...it's the group I'm doing
it for's request.
Yeah, but the big ones do. The group I'm doing this for use mainly
Outlook, so they're covered in that arena.

Not realy. I've been in the working world for some time now. I was
never motivated to study this hard in school.
I've never had a paid job so interesting and challenging. Maybe, I
should have added work at the end of my statement.
Also, this is a college organization, so I'm not getting paid. I'm
doing this for fun....frustrating and sadistic as it
may be...it's still fun.

:-)
