[techtalk] A Lurker comes out of hiding

Hello. I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Mark.

I've been lurking on this list for a while, and finally decided to introduce myself. I am not a chick, but I am a relativley young geek (21 years) who is interested in most of the stuff that gets posted on here.

I am still a student, but I have worked as a developer on and off for the last year. I have worked with a wide variety of programming languages (Python, Java, C/C++, Ksh/Bash, Vb, Perl, PHP, etc). I also enjoy tinkering with MySQL, Oracle, Apache, and various forms of Linux (I happen to be running RedHat 7). I am not so geeky as to dream in UML, but I am getting there! I am a staunch advocate of Python, and tend to get in bitter arguments with Perl zealots. :)

In my spare time I do some coding, read, tinker with Linux, write articles for a web development resource site (www.coffeecode.com), and ocassionally do something non-geeky like playing hockey.
