I've beome rather enamored of the VNC
thin-client software as opposed to the whole
concept of hardware switches, etc. It has
windows, mac, and linux servers as well as
clients and from my work on all three
platforms, the linux seems very fast and
stable. Extremely easy to configure and
simple to use. (and of course, free. :-)
