Dunno anything about running it, but:
YellowDog Linux is the one for Mac folk

There may be other Mac distributions out there, I
just don't know of any others, since I'm not much
of a Mac user (familiar, not avid).
Or she can just wait until MacOS X is released. It is
quite the convergent hybrid of Berkley and Apple code.
She could get the developers' release for free now...

Its almost enough to make me want to buy Mac HW so
I can run it and check it out. ;^)
I friend of mine just D/L'd and installed (on a G3)
the developers' release, so I'll satisfy my curiosity
through his experiences.
