[techtalk] Where'd I come from?

Hey Linda,
  I'm sorry. The 'who' command is the one that you want. In RH it will not
truncate the from addr.
  In a telnet session to another host i issue 'who' and get this:
hhoffman 	pts/1 	Jan 17 21:38	(c829553-a.sttln1.wa.home.com)

If you go one step further you can write a perl program to grab this info
strip down to just the IP addr. then feed that to the shell for export.
