LinuxChix got a peripheral mention on slashdot today, so there have been a
fair number of new subscribers to the mailing lists. For this reason, I
thought it might be a good idea to post this a few days early. Oh, and
all you new subs: welcome :)

=======================================
The Semi-Weekly LinuxChix List Reminder
=======================================

This is my standard "form-email" that I post to the LinuxChix lists
every two or three days. The following are descriptions of the various
mailing lists that are part of the LinuxChix community. I ask that
everyone scan the list names and purposes. I ask that you please send
your messages to the appropriate list.

Thank you for your time and cooperation. -deb-

---------
The Lists

            to have two monitors on a Linux machine?")

	   Higher-level abstract/theoretical/philosophical discussions
           related to Linux, open-source, or women & technology.
           ("How is the open-source development different?", "Why
            are there so few women in high-tech?")

-----------
The Digests
-----------

If you don't want to receive a bunch of individual mail messages from
each list, but would rather receive one big email that is a compilation
of those posts, you should subscribe to the appropriate "digest" list:

	techtalk-digest
	issues-digest
	grrltalk-digest
	jobposts-digest
	announce-digest

-----------------------------
Joining and Leaving the Lists
-----------------------------

Send mail to: majordomo at linuxchix.org

With the following in the body of the message (to join the list):

	su*bscribe [list-name] [your-email-address]

Or, with the following in the body (to unsub):

	unsu*bscribe [list-name] [your-email-address]
