ahh THAT is the problem! /usr/src/linux/include did NOT exist meaning the
kernel-source-2.2.x.i386.rpm (x being the kernel version) was not
installed.... which means it was probably removed manually because rpm
would have had a cow uninstalling this (i assume) and I --force'd the
install.

I knew my redhat CD's would come in handy sometime :o)
