Wait up, wait up...
You know what? Not everyone in Windowsland was a complete IT moron!
The only previous contact I'd had with UNIX was FTPing - and I made
through without a hitch. Anyone who's about to make a jump into the
unknown will read everyone manual and introductory text they can find -
and that introductin to bash on LDP + Red Hat Installation guide was
enough to get me going.

I didn't mess up my Linux installation for another 8 months! :-)

I mean really!

What's really missing is intermediate stuff - seems that guides out there
are either holding your hand or dumping you into the lions den with only
your broken nails and sensitive teeth to defend you...
