[techtalk] chat scripts

Is it possible for a chat script to redial if it gets a busy signal?  I
know it gets the BUSY string, since it can do ABORT BUSY just fine, but
I don't think it can expect two things at once... is there some way to
tell chat to expect two things, or tell pppd to retry, or is there
another dialer i can use instead of chat (it appears minicom doesn't do
batch mode...)? 

I guess i could do
while (1)
 ppp-on
and just kill it instead of ppp-off... hm.
