[techtalk] Gnome applets in blackbox?

as far as i know, blackbox will run any x software,   i use blackbox and i
run KDE and Enlightenment software,  and i have accidently started the gnome
panel in blackbox before..

Blackbox can easily run windowmaker- and afterstep applets, but can it run
gnomes applets? I dislike having a gnome-panel open just for a battery meter
and a character picker.
