The Eindhoven University of Technology, one of Europe’s top technological universities situated in The Netherlands, is currently looking for PhD researchers with strong computer science, modelling & simulation, and research software development skills that want to develop cutting-edge knowledge and software for the energy transition.

* PhD in data-sharing & edge computing technology for Intelligent Power Systems

This PhD research is investigating the application of data-sharing, distributed decision making and edge computing technologies in electricity-grid-edge control, specifically through local market interactions in the context of future sustainable energy systems use cases.

* PhD position in Advanced Modelling of Intelligent Electricity Systems

This PhD research investigates and designs tools for multi-model energy systems integration simulations, based on co-simulation and multi-scale modelling, in a methodologically rigorous way. The goal is to combine energy-system models for different system levels improving individual model accuracies and the descriptive power of the full model set.
