My employer, Aurora Innovation, has launched a new "returnship" program
aimed at experienced technical contributors who have taken an extended
leave of absence from their career and would like now to re-enter the
workforce. The idea is that these "returners" are proven contributors
but may have difficulty initially passing typical coding (or other
technical) tests because their skills are rusty or out of date. Info
about the program is at
https://www.womenbacktowork.org/aurora-returnship
The first 3 openings are aimed at C++ developers, but the next cohort
will include a much broader set of positions. I'd be happy to take a
crack at any questions about the program, but the best way to proceed is
to register with Women Back to Work, which cooperates with many large
employers. Quick answers are: paid; 16 weeks duration; remote work
possible. The best address to inquire further of me is
achaiken at aurora.tech, but WBW is likely a better resource.
Thanks for your interest,
Alison Chaiken
