Penn’s School of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking a highly
motivated and passionate systems administrator to take primary
responsibility for maintenance and troubleshooting of our Linux systems.
We have hundreds of Linux machines – desktops, physical and virtual
servers, HPC clusters – all under central management by our team. You’ll
be responsible for keeping these systems up-to-date and secure, and
you’ll work with the rest of our team to build and maintain
mission-critical systems. The work you’ll be doing will be instrumental
in making possible cutting-edge research in fields like Computer
Science, Materials Science, and Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related
field and at least 1 year (senior: at least 3 years) of experience or
equivalent combination of education and experience is required. You’ll
need strong interpersonal and written communication skills: you’ll be
interacting daily with very tech-savvy faculty and students. You’ll also
need a strong background with Linux (especially Linux administration)
and experience programming with high-level scripting languages. If you
have experience with configuration management (Ansible) and revision
control (git), that would be a plus.  Applicants must have US right-to-
