We're looking for a strong Sr. Systems Administrator who is happy to learn
new technologies, and excited about working in a growing, collaborative
environment.

This position will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing,
and maintaining solutions to provide a stable, secure, and reliable
platform for our production application.

*Scope:*
• networking
• servers (virtual and hardware)
• operating systems
• low-level application support

*Specific areas of responsibility:*
• security
• troubleshooting
• capacity planning
• performance tuning
• log aggregation and analysis
• general systems administration
• backup/recovery
• on-call support (as part of a weekly rotation)
• providing infrastructure-level solutions to business problems
• documenting technologies and procedures

*Successful candidates must have:*
• Solid experience with multiple AWS technologies
• Experience with 24x7 user-facing application environments
• UNIX/Linux-based scripting skills (bash, perl, python, ...)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up their
sleeves and tackle any issue thrown their way
• Solid communication skills (written and verbal)

*The ideal candidate will have:*
• Vast expertise with many AWS technologies
• Experience administering production MySQL databases
• Experience with automated configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef,
cfengine, etc)
• Advanced perl scripting chops
