*A Day in the Life of an Apigee Support Engineer:*
• 9AM: You grab a breakfast snack and coffee in the fully-stacked
micro-kitchen and start your day with responding to the requests of Fortune
1000 clients through Support Portal, Live Chat, Community, Phone & email
• 10AM: Instead of wasting your time in meetings, you apply critical
thinking skills, technical curiosity to diagnose and solve critical
customer problems …sometimes while using one of our office treadmill
• 11AM: No two days are the same: because of the wide spread of industry
verticals, clients and technologies we represent, you tackle, stimulate and
reproduce new kinds of challenges every day
• 12PM: You join your fellow Apigeeks in the Cafeteria for a gourmet
catered lunch with a side of great conversation
• 1PM: You are a documentation pioneer: you are breaking ground trouble
shooting brand new customer problems, so you can take incredible pride in
owning the reporting of these issue resolutions for future reference
• 2PM: You always keep an eye on Apigee’s Cloud Infrastucture and
troubleshoot / fix problems as needed
• 3PM: You are an active participant in driving organizational and process
improvements for a growing Global Support team and help grow our digital
knowledge base
• 6PM: You head down to the Apigee gym for a workout or take a dip in the
heated pool & jacuzzi
• You enjoy the flexibility of a straddled work week while accommodating
Apigee Global Support ‘s 24x7 operation: (Tuesday through Saturday, Sunday
through Thursday, or Monday through Friday) with hrs 10AM-7PM (PDT) or
9AM-6PM (PST),

*Think you might be our next Support Engineer? You bring to the table...*
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to set and manage expectations with customers and work in a
highly dynamic environment
• Good knowledge of LINUX commands
• World Class debugging skills (preferred web based application, JVM,
network, and database troubleshooting)
• Expertise in EAI/Messaging/Web Services/SOAP/REST/ESB/Middleware
• Hands on experience with Web Servers, Application Servers, Load
Balancers, Proxy Servers, Databases, and related technologies
• Working knowledge of security (SSL)
• Customer/Technical Support Engineer or Consultant with 5+ years of
• Hands on networking, messaging technologies
• Knowledge of Weblogic/Websphere app servers
• Familiarity with Cassandra DB, Zookeeper, ApacheDS and/or OpenLDAP,
Postgres, or MySQL
• Exposure to cloud computing and hosting/maintaining production instances
