The Bay School of San Francisco is a progressive independent high school located in the Presidio of San Francisco. The school, which currently enrolls 286 students, was founded in 2004 and has established itself as one of the leading college preparatory schools in the Bay Area.

Job Description:
The IT Associate reports to and works closely with the director of technology and with a handful of selected students to support every aspect of technology at the school. The Bay School is primarily a Windows environment, supporting a one-to-one laptop program of approximately 350 laptops. We also have a Mac lab that consists of 20+ new Macs administered from an XServe and joined to our primary controller's Active Directory.

The candidate must have a strong desire to interact with high school students in a rigorous academic environment.  The candidate must also be comfortable working in a supportive role with members of the faculty, administration, parents, and alumni.

Our sophisticated Network environment is comparable to any mid-level corporate setting and includes:

  *   Eight Windows 2008 Servers
  *   Two redundant  ESX virtual servers
  *   Cisco Firewall and networking hardware
  *   Cisco Wireless Controller with 24 Cisco Wireless Access Points and associated software
  *   Cisco integrated Phone System including Call Manager, Unity, and Informacast
  *   Exchange 2008
  *   Symantec Antivirus
  *   Fortigate network administration
  *   Custom Support Desk management (PHP,MySQL)
  *   Linux based software for mass imaging of laptops
  *   Windows 7, Office 2007
  *   Adobe Creative Suite 5
  *   Web presence via Whipple Hill Communications

The candidate must be able to provide technical solutions for the current and future technical needs of the school. Excellent interpersonal skills and rapport with members of the school community is essential for this position.
