Below is the job description:

 

Senior Unix Systems Administrator

QuinStreet is looking for a talented and motivated Senior UNIX/Linux
Systems Administrator. The individual will be responsible for
troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; analyzing business and
support requirements for change requests; and delivering the most
efficient, quality solutions to meet those requirements. This individual
should have depth and breadth of requisite experience with a strong
discipline of meeting and exceeding customers service level requirements
in a 24x7x365 ASP environment.

Technical Requirements:
Hardware: HP Blade, Sun Servers, EMC (clarion array), Brocade (Fiber
channel switch), Cisco 
Software: Linux (RedHat), Sun Solaris (9/10), Open LDAP, Apache, Bind,
VmWARE VI3

Other Requirements: 
*6 years experience with UNIX/Linux 
*Experience with Storage Area Networks 
*Scripting ability (Perl, Bash) 
*Strong knowledge of networking protocols and fundamentals. 
*Hands-on knowledge on load-balance and firewall environment.
*Experience in configuration and support of production environment
hosted in a 24x7 e-commerce set-up.
*Experience with kickstart, jumpstart, rpm package management. 
*Experience with Solaris zoning, containers.
*Proficient at supporting and troubleshooting Apache servers.
*Experience with tuning database servers like Oracle, and MySQL.
*Proficient in troubleshooting networks, operating systems and
application software.
*Extensive knowledge of security technologies, practice, and protocols
in a e-commerce environment.
*Experience with fault tolerant systems including clusters, fail over
systems, and RAID storage and volume management.

*Strong sense of ownership and follow-through and strong problem solving
skills
*Excellent written and oral communications. 
*Must be able to work as a team player and committed to achieving
results.
*Exceptional time management and organization as well as the ability to
multi-task on projects and issues. 
*Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
*Needs to be creative and flexible.
*Position requires carrying a pager 24/7 and requires
maintenance/installation work to be performed outside of business hours.
*Position requires candidate to travel occasionally to remote site or
perform evening work for system maintenance.
