QA TEST MGR. DETAILED JOB DESC




This position requires significant experience with enterprise level Storage
software and managing a team of Test engineers. Product Quality Ownership,
ongoing risk analysis, and effective communication with Development group
are key to the success of this position.

Specific Technical Skills / Experience
- Sound knowledge of and hands on experience on FC/iSCSI/NAS (NFS,CIFS, FTP)
storage
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux OS and Windows Servers. Should be able to
write test scripts for such environments.

- Sound knowledge of Programming scripts in Perl/Shell/Python is desired.
Knowledge of C/C++ or other automation tools is a plus

- Knowledge on Storage Virtualization, Application server virtualization and
I/O virtualization. Knowledge of VMware Products is a must.

  a.. Thorough understanding of various RAID levels, Storage replication and
snapshots is required.
  - Sound understanding of I/O and disk interfaces and technologies (SAS,
SATA, FC, SSD)
  - Good familiarity with SQL and Mail servers.
  - Knowledge on Clustered servers and familiarity with industry acclaimed
performance benchmarking tools.
  - Good Knowledge of different protocols and environment hardware’s and
their configuration

- Education:
- BS/EE degree in computer engineering
- Minimum of 12 to 15 years of software quality assurance and testing
experience to include a minimum of 5 years in a lead position & a minimum of
5 years of testing enterprise software.
