SGI is seeking an IRIX/Linux System Adminstrator to join our team in
Princeton, NJ.
 
A candidate for this position will be able to fulfill the role of an onsite
System Administrator at a federal laboratory in Princeton, NJ. 

The candidate must posses the following skills: 
* 5 years of system administration experience and problem solving skills
with the IRIX and Linux

operating systems. 
* Extensive knowledge of the administration and interoperability of the
following software components: NIS, NFS, CXFS, XVM, DMF, TMF, SSH, Cisco
Networking, Unix scripting via Perl, Brocade configuration, and Legato
Networker. 
* Ability to configure and maintain the following hardware:  Origin3000,
Altix 3700, Altix 350, Brocade Switches, 1 and 2gig TP9100, TP9300, and STK
Tape Drives/Tape Silos. 
 
The candidate must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills to drive
account partnership, development & protection. They must effectively
communicate with customers by being open, sensitive to their issues, and
understanding of their expectations. In addition the candidate must be able
to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, founded in
trust and respect. Finally the candidate must be able to team in a positive
manner with a staff of tenured peers who currently support the site. 
 
Education BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics
and/or equivalent experience is required.  US Citizenship is required.
