Senior Linux Systems Engineer

ROLE DESCRIPTION
VMware is looking for a motivated, talented, Senior Linux systems/kernel
engineer that can provide area expertise and creative direction in our
interactions with Linux and the Linux kernel, for our hosted =
virtualization
platform used in our Workstation, GSX Server and ACE products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
.	Lead the design and implementation of Linux related features for our
hosted virtualization platform (Workstation, GSX, ACE)
.	Debug, diagnose and fix challenging issues for our Linux products
.	Track Linux kernel and Linux distro. development and report and make
recommendations on areas VMware should focus on
.	Provide Linux systems/kernel expertise to other developers at VMware
.	Linux related innovation

SKILLS
.	C - Expert coding skills
.	Design and Architecture ability
.	x86 Assembly - proficiency
.	Unix Systems and Kernel development
.	Ninja-like debugging and troubleshooting (user level, kernel and
performance)
