Job Description:
Responsible for:
- Maintaining and extending existing upSuite components, and designing and
developing new components as necessary. These components run on Solaris and
Linux systems and are primarily written in C, with some C++.
- Maintaining and extending existing tools and developing new tools as
necessary. These tools are primarily written in Python and shell scripts.
- Providing customer support and fixing defects.
- Contributing to and implementing project plans, and identifying technical
risks.
- Recommending engineering process improvements.


Experience and Skills:
BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related. 3+ years experience
in development / integration of telecommunications/data communication
products. Knowledge of change control, development, and test tools. UNIX
daemon, TCP/IP and sockets, multi-threading, and signal handling development
experience required. Python and shell scripting experience required. Good
knowledge of C with some working knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design
a plus. Exposure to full software development lifecycle including
requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support. Good analytical,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
