OSIweek is unrelated to the FOSS community in any way - it is a commercial 
event aimed at making money of the "Linux" and "Open Source" buzzphrases. 
And it is sponsored by Microsoft.

If you look at the agenda, you will see *exactly* what that event is 
about, and why the FOSS community shuns it (and its previous incarnation - 
LinuxAsia).
