is it possible for you to host the site using some CMS things like mambo?
becas its quie easy to manage the articles using the CMS and others who want 
to contribute can login and contribute directly.
 we have been using mambo in gnulinuxclub.org <http://gnulinuxclub.org>
its quite helpful and easy to maintain the site.
