You're not the only person to make this particular mistake on these
lists, but:
* Don't post private emails or private discussions to public mailing
lists.
You replied to what appears to be a private message and quoted it in
full at the bottom of the message, thus (inadvertantly?) sending an
email that was sent just to you to the entire list.
If people choose to reply to a list mail privately, then it becomes
private.
[The exception to this is if a list member starts harrassing you or
disturbing you offlist, making you feel uncomfortable about being on the
list at all, or making you feel unsafe, that kind of thing. Even then, I
would tend to contact the list administrators with copies of the emails
in question, rather than post them to the entire list. The admins also
have more real and perceived authority than the list in general.]
